The incident dates back to October 13, when Priyanka, a resident of Sector 106, was returning home on her scooter with her mother Rekha Devi.


A 55-year-old woman and her 27-year-old daughter were injured in a road accident and later attacked by three men on a road near Sadar Bazaar in Gurugram, a police official familiar with the incident said on Friday.


The incident dates back to October 13, when Priyanka, a resident of Sector 106, was returning home on her scooter along with her mother Rekha Devi, who was sitting in the passenger seat.


Investigators said her speeding car hit Devi’s two-wheeler at 3:30 p.m.
, causing her to fall and sustaining serious injuries that broke her limbs.
Priyanka, who has only one name, stopped and helped her mother stand up.
Then she took out her cell phone and took a photo of her car’s license plate.
According to investigators, the car saw this and stopped, and a passenger got out of the car and pushed him. Priyanka said in her police complaint that a passerby intervened and the three suspects fled the scene before the situation escalated.


Based on Priyanka’s complaint, a case was filed at Gurugram City Police Station on Thursday under sections 279 (reckless driving or driving on public road) and 337 (injury to person due to reckless or negligent act endangering human life). an initial complaint was registered at the Gurugram City Police Station. 338 (causing grievous bodily harm by act endangering the life or personal safety of another), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 509 (sexual harassment) of the Indian Penal Code.
Gurugram Police Public Relations Officer Subhash Boken said they have the registration number of the car and the suspects will be arrested soon.
